What's New at Shetla

World Cup Dreams!

The Danish team for the FCI World Championships 2009 were chosen June 28, and in beeped two messages on my mobile.... Yes, by George, TWO (2!) Shetlas are to compete both individually and on the team! A dream come true for me as a breeder, as I used to be very active myself and have won team silver at Worlds and team gold at the Nordic championships in 1998 and am still very much a fan of this wonderful sport.

New Danish Agility Champion!!! Shetla's Emsi at Equinox earned her Danish agilitychampionship June 21st. many congrats to her talented trainer and handler, Jesper Kjær. What will their next goal be?

New Danish Agility Champion!!! Gitte Hoffmeister secured the first homebred agility champion for Shetla. Zinnia is now DKAGCH Shetla's Ezinnia at Equinox. The title was acquired at Hvalsø Cup May 9, 2009. Gitte and Zinnia finished the day off by winning the Hvalsø Cup itself. What a day!

Goodbye Ronja

My faithful companion of nearly 16 years has left me. Fortunately Ronja had a long and happy life. I have enjoyed every day with her. Ronja is the foundation dam of my kennel. On the day of her death she had 29 descendants.

Double victory at Vilhelmsborg Cup 2009 Shetla power! The litter sisters Emsi and Zinnia won the finals at Denmark's biggest indoor agility event in small and medium respectively. Ergo is expecting his fourth litter Easter 2009

His page has been updated. I also created a page showing some of his offspring so far.

Shetla's Smartypants July 4th 2008, Shetla's Cha-Cha Chaya gave birth  to a new tricolour bitch. The little one is not currently available.

Ergo sires his second litter

June 26  2008, pups by Shetla's Ergo at Equinox were born at  Kennel Ahl. Two girls and two boys: one each of tricolour and sable.  

Ronja turns 15!!! I feel very fortunate in being able to celebrate Ronja's 15th birthday on June 1st 2008.

New Danish Jumpers Champion Shetla's Emsi at Equinox won her Danish Jumpers Champion title May 25th, 2008.  I am very impressed with her handler/trainer/owner Jesper Kjær. They debuted in May 2007. They have amassed many victories during their first year of competition, and at only 3 years of age Emsi has now already earned her first champion title. Way to go!

Ergo has sired his first pups

Ergo is now the proud sire of four tri pups born March 6th, 2008. Click for links to photos from my blog.

Ergo best male at DKK Vejen 2007 Handsome wee man, Ergo, won his first certificate and his first title (DKK Jubilee Winner) at the Danish Kennel Club Jubilee Show in Vejen August 2007.

Shetla Cover Girls... We are on the front page:

Tilda, Rea, Ronja and Breezy are on the front page of a new Danish breed book about the Shetland Sheepdog. I am so thrilled! There are also numerous photos of my dogs inside the book. The book is sold by the Danish Kennel Club.
